Importance of General Exercise Exercise is very important in maintaining proper conditioning of muscle tone. However, over exercising is more like stress. It does not help to over exercise in order to maintain a healthy muscle tone. A fare amount of exercise will promote better muscle conditioning. Muscles and ligaments act as a support system for the spine. If muscles become weak, the spine will have additional stress trying to keep the body posture straight and proper. This may cause spinal problems to occur such as kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis, and osteoporosis. The proper exercise I recommend are stretch exercises with light repetitions in order to generate overall muscle strength and tone. Balance is the key to maintaining healthy muscles and an overall healthy condition. The individual must maintain a proper and regular stretch exercise. If the muscle tone is in a poor condition, it may cause muscle spasms. Muscle spasms are caused by sudden muscle contractions. Usually, muscle contraction and relaxation are controlled by electrical stimulation that is generated by the nervous system. Therefore, in order to prevent a muscle problem, it is very important to exercise regularly.
