Head Injury

Watch patient carefully for the first 24-48 hours and contact doctor immediately if any of the following symptoms appear:

  • Nausea, vomiting or dizziness.
  • Persistent headache or increase in intensity.
  • Double vision or difficulty in focusing.
  • Drowsiness - if patient wants to sleep let him/her, but wake him/her every 1/2 - 1 hour and check his state of consciousness and orientation. If he is confused or disoriented, call the doctor immediately.
  • Memory loss or changes in memory.
  • Weakness of muscles of face, arms or legs or difficulty in walking.
  • Convulsions (Seizures).

Please do not give strong pain medication other than Aspirin/Tylenol for the next 48 hours. If you have any concern please call the doctor.
