A RESTORATIVE HERBAL FORMULA FOR IMPROVING GENERAL HEALTH CONDITIONING

Bo Yahk

Prevention of disease or illness is the best method for maintaining our general health. Therefore, we need to periodically check our general health conditioning. What follows is a self-check list that you can use in the event that you are not able to visit our office for a regular check-up. Please forward the completed questionnaires to our office so that we may review your results and respond appropriately to your current general health needs. General health conditioning remedies (in herbal form) should be taken every six months to insure that our body condition remains in good balance. Also, if you currently drink alcohol, smoke, or have any other sort of toxicity in your body, then a cleansing remedy (also in herbal form) is needed twice a year as well. We further recommend that you fast once in a while, maintain a balanced diet, and exercise regularly in order to help maintain your general health.

Our general health conditioning herbs can be made with several different grades of quality herbal supplements. For example, ginseng and deer antlers shavings, both of which are typically used in general health remedies, are available in Level 1, Level 11 and Level 111 grades. Therefore, depending on the quality of these supplies, the cost of the herbal medicines vary accordingly. In most instances, using the highest grade ingredients is not essential. We offer three grades of general health conditioning herbal prescriptions. Although we typically recommend the middle grade, Level 11, the choice of grade is entirely up to the patient. Please indicate your preference by checking one of the level boxes on the Improving General Health Conditioning Form. The length of a general health conditioning treatment is usually 10 days to 20 days.

Bo Yahk simply translated from the Korean, is defined as a "restorative tonic". A mixture of several herbs, the Bo Yahk formula revitalizes and restores balance to the entire body system. Bo Yahk is taken twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall, and is recommend for everyone, regardless of age, sex, or physical conditioning. Below, you will find the answers to many common questions surrounding the Bo Yahk formula, including an explanation of the pricing system. Take a moment to educate yourself on the benefits of this ancient herbal medicine. As the famous Asian proverb goes: "If you lose your money, it is significant. If you lose your honor, it is serious. If you lose your health, you lose everything."

Prices for one treatment (three doses per day for seven days) of the Bo Yahk formula:

Level I Bo Yahk Formula - Regular: $220.00 per treatment

Level II Bo Yahk Formula - Advanced: $350.00 per treatment

Level III Bo Yahk Formula - Superior: $480.00 per treatment

Note: The variation in the cost of the formula does NOT relate to the number of ingredient in the formula. Instead, the cost of the formula is a direct result of the quality of the two main ingredient in the formula - ginseng root and deer horn (antler).

 MAIN INGREDIENTS OF BO YAHK

Ginseng

The cost of ginseng root is based upon the age of the plant. The older the root, the more effective its medicinal properties and the more expensive it is. The following prices are given in terms of the amount of ginseng root needed to make one complete prescription (three doses per day for seven days) of the Bo Yahk formula:

3 Years Old: Approximately $25.00 per treatment *
4 Years Old: (Varies greatly)
5 Years Old: (Varies greatly)
6 Years Old: $120.00 or more, per treatment

Deer Horn (Antler)

The cost of deer horn is based upon the section of the antler that is utilized in the prescription. The stump or base of the horn is the cheapest section (and also the least effective for treatment), while the very tip of the antler is the most expensive (and most effective) portion. The following prices are given in terms of the amount of antler needed to make one complete prescription (three doses per day for seven days) of the Bo Yahk formula:

Stump: $20.00 per treatment *
Middle Section: $40.00 per treatment
Top Section: $80.00 per treatment
Tips of the Antlers: $180.00 per treatment

* Neither the stump of the antler nor three years old or younger ginseng are used by OHTC Health Care System as they are of inferior quality and effectiveness. We make use of only the middle, top and tip portions of the antlers along with ginseng root that is at least four years old because these ingredients are all of superior quality and effectiveness.
